The NLCS is tied at one a piece, but the Cubs did the best they could against one of the greatest pitchers, Clayton Kershaw. It was definitely a pitcher’s duel last night. The only run scored was a homerun from Adrian Gonzalez in the 2nd inning. Yes, Kershaw pitched a great game, but we still can’t get over the skill and talent that Javy Baez is.
The biggest takeaway from Game 1 and 2 has been what he’s done. Did you see him steal home in Game 1? He managed to get a double and then advance to third on a wild pitch. He then successfully stole home, which happened in the postseason for the first time since 1907! Fast forward to Game 2 where his defense continues to impress us. How about that inning-ending double play in the 6th?
We seriously can’t get enough of this guy!
Game 3 is tomorrow night in Los Angeles. First pitch is at 7:08!
