Mabel Ball lived long enough for 2 Cubs WS wins I’m sad to report Mabel died on election night. A sweet lady! #RIP pic.twitter.com/1jzNAzTZu4

Mabel Ball had been waiting 108 years for a World Series title from her favorite baseball team. She was born in 1908, the last time the Cubs had won a World Series.
She died a happy woman last week. Mabel grew up listening to the Cubs on the radio and taught her family to love the team just as much as she did.
RIP Mabel. We’re so happy she was able to witness a Cubs World Series win.
